Diesel Performance of Grand Junction, Inc. was established in 2000 with two employees. We started out removing older mechanical engines from drilling rigs and installing the modern electronically controlled engines. These engines were more fuel efficient and lasted two to three times longer than their predecessor. Since then we have increased to an average of 18 employees. We now have expanded our operations to manufacturing custom power units to fit into unique applications. Engines were fitted with torque converters, transmissions, generators, air clutches, speed reducers, belt drive, and torsional drive, including drive generators, air compressors, and pumps. We had to overcome limited space, cooling system and air flow issues, electrical challenges, front start, rear start, air shift, hydraulic shift, and electronic shift. It was then time to maintain, repair, and build these units anywhere from 50 horsepower to 2200 horsepower. What this means to you, our Customer, is we that have the knowledge, experience, tooling, and training to tackle just about anything you may need in the way of power, repair, and build/rebuild. This includes, but not limited to, anything from buses to trucks, from air compressors to pumps, from generators to alternators, from air conditioning to exhaust systems, from clutches to transmissions, and from head lights to tail lights. We are the largest independent repair facility between Denver, Colorado and Salt Lake City, Utah. Our facility has over 30,000 square feet on four acres.
